Prior to joining Berliner Cohen, Mr. Pinner practiced from 1978 - 1983 as an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service. Since joining Berliner Cohen in 1983, Mr. Pinner has represented a variety of clients, ranging from individuals to large publicly traded companies, both in tax and in business matters.  In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Mr. Pinner was recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer by Law & Politics in Closely Held Business.


Matters handled by Mr. Pinner include business formations, mergers, acquisitions, venture investments, sales of businesses, and the representation of clients before the various Federal and State tax agencies, as well as before the United States Tax Court.
