David A. Bellumori

Mr. Bellumori practices in the areas of tax and general business matters for a wide range of corporate and individual clients in the firm’s Tax and Corporate Group.  He represents clients in a variety of transactions, from matters of corporate and partnership taxation to like-kind exchanges and tax controversies.  Prior to joining Berliner Cohen LLP, Mr. Bellumori worked for several years in the Private Client Services group of an international tax-only accounting firm in San Francisco focusing on matters of tax compliance, controversy and consulting.

During law school, Mr. Bellumori was twice a judicial extern for the Honorable Joseph C. Spero, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.  Mr. Bellumori also served as a law clerk in the Consumer and Environmental Protection Division of the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office researching matters of white-collar crime including various forms of real estate fraud.  Mr. Bellumori also volunteered with Tax Aid, a non-profit group focused on helping individuals and families of modest means understand and prepare their annual tax returns.

Mr. Bellumori holds a concentration in Taxation from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law as well as a Master of Laws in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.
