Kara L. Arguello

Ms. Arguello litigates on behalf of employers in the areas of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage disputes, unemployment insurance appeals, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets.  She has successfully defended companies and business owners in state and federal litigation, including complex and class action wage and hour cases.

Ms. Arguello provides advice and counsel on issues such as leaves of absence, meal and rest breaks, employee classification and reduction in force.  She also provides training on prevention of harassment in the workplace and conducts audits of clients’ employment-related policies and procedures.

Ms. Arguello represents clients in state and federal court, at mediation and arbitration, before the California Labor Commissioner, and before the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board.

Her business and real estate litigation practice includes cases involving fraud, breach of contract, non-disclosure and warranty claims, and landlord rights.
