Michael Branson’s practice at Berliner Cohen LLP is focused on municipal law, land use, and business litigation. Mr. Branson joined Berliner Cohen in 2015.

Prior to joining Berliner, Michael Branson served as congressional assistant/counsel for San Jose Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. In this capacity, Mr. Branson led Rep. Lofgren’s district office on policy issues relating to Science, Technology, Transportation, and the Environment. During law school, Mr. Branson worked as a legal intern in the Civil-Lands division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Environmental/Consumer Protection Division of the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, and the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He also was a Summer Law Clerk for Santa Clara County Judge Socrates Manoukian.
