The sandwich generation – a growing number of Americans finding themselves caring for their aging parents as well as their own children (more than 25 percent of American families) – are finding that it is not easy. One of the first steps into the world of the Sandwich Generation may be the necessity of hiring an outside caregiver for an aging parent, relative, or a child.
Berliner Cohen has assembled a panel of legal and estate planning experts to address the practical problems, regulations and solutions when hiring caregivers, including:
