Berliner Cohen Sponsors Gilroy Relay for Life

Christmas Hill Ranch in Gilroy is again the site for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Gilroy, June 18-19, 2010.  Berliner Cohen is pleased to continue its support and to participate in this event.

Peggy Springgay, Berliner Cohen partner, is Team Captain Chair and a team captain for the Gilroy Relay event.  In 2009, Berliner Cohen’s team was the top team fundraiser with over $10,000 collected.

Relay for Life is an overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer, to celebrate survivors, and to raise money for the Society.  Its mission is to save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer and empower individuals to fight back.  Teams gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps.  Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
