Berliner Cohen Senior Associate Laura Palazzolo Chairs the Senior Care Commission

August 01, 2017

Berliner Cohen LLP is pleased to announce that the Santa Clara County Senior Care Commission will install Berliner Cohen Senior Attorney Laura Palazzolo as its Chair starting August 2017.  Laura was appointed to the Commission by Supervisor Wasserman.  She has a personal connection with the Commission’s work in that her own mother suffered from dementia, and the family struggled to locate assistive resources like transportation and adult daycare.

The Senior Care Commission’s purpose is to have an active presence in collaborating with our county, and coordinating with state and federal programs in expanding existing services for our elderly. The goal of the Commission is to assess and evaluate issues, concerns and needs of persons over the age of sixty and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for the allocation of resources to those most in need. As Chair of the Senior Care Commission, Laura hopes to create a collective voice and share a positive message in moving the County towards a progressive and thoughtful Senior Policy Agenda.

Laura practices general business litigation at Berliner Cohen, representing clients from a variety of industries in both state and federal courts. She also counsels individual and corporate clients on bankruptcy matters and has obtained favorable results in various real estate disputes.
