Longtime Estate Planner Assumes Firm Leadership

Berliner Cohen announced that James P. Cashman has become the Firm’s new Managing Partner, effective January 1, 2008.  His term follows that of Andrew L. Faber, who served as Managing Partner from 2005 through 2007.  Joining Mr. Cashman on the 2008 Executive Committee are Berliner Partners Joe Dworak, Mark Makiewicz, Kevin Kelley, Faber, and Executive Director Joe Fasulo.

“Jim has produced extraordinary results for his clients, and has been an outstanding leader and excellent lawyer in the Firm, serving on various committees and as a member of the Executive Committee for three years,” said Mr. Faber.  “His collaborative leadership style and dedication to the Firm are exceptional and will lead to our continued success as he oversees the management of the Firm.”

Mr. Cashman joined Berliner Cohen in 1986 and represents families and individuals in estate planning matters, with a focus on probate, estate administration and charitable trusts.
