Berliner Cohen Team Raises over $4,500 for American Cancer Society Relay for Life

May 19, 2008

Berliner Cohen team members collectively walked over 241 miles in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® over the May 17th weekend at San Jose’s Willow Glen High School.  The Society’s annual event brought together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer – an event that celebrates those who have survived cancer, remembers those lost, and seeks to fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.

“Team Berliner” members included Nancy Johnson, Peggy Springgay, Roberta Hayashi, Christine Long, Kara Erdodi, Debbie Bae, Heather Munoz, Sandra Sepulveda, Stephanie Wersel, Dan Miller, Rosie Moreno, and Amy Stack.

“The members of Team Berliner successfully completed the Relay for Life this past weekend and honored our commitment to keep at least one of us on the track for a 24 hour period – despite the 90 degree heat,” said Ms. Johnson.  “Participants enjoyed the event and were proud to have contributed over $4,500 this year to the American Cancer Society.”

As a whole, there were over 650 participants contributing over $175,000 for the two-day event, with more contributions expected.
