Berliner Cohen Welcomes New Tax Attorney

Berliner Cohen is pleased to announce the arrival of Tyler A. Shewey as an associate in its Tax and Corporate Groups.
“Mr. Shewey’s experience lends itself perfectly in helping our clients resolve their tax problems, and we welcome him as a valued asset to the Firm,” stated Alan J. Pinner, Tax Group chair.
Mr. Shewey’s practice focuses on individuals, corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies in a variety of transactions, from stock-based compensation to mergers and acquisitions. He also represents individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board, State Board of Equalization and Employment Development Department on a wide range of tax matters.
Before joining Berliner Cohen, Mr. Shewey was an associate at law firms in Palo Alto and New York. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law, and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He earned his B.A. in Political Science and History at the University of California, Los Angeles.
