Roberta Hayashi Quoted in “Settling Well Into Retirement Keeps Jurist Busy”
June 20, 2008
Roberta Hayashi, Berliner Cohen partner, is quoted in the June 20 issue of the San Francisco Daily Journal, regarding John Flaherty, former Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge and current JAMS neutral. “…Flaherty’s style is informal, operating on a first-name basis. He tries to set a tone that is professional but certainly not unduly burdensome. I have never seen him lose his cool. He is extremely unflappable,” Hayashi said. Flaherty was also a name partner in Berliner Cohen & Flaherty, (now Berliner Cohen), remaining there until his appointment to the bench in 1977.
