Recognition & Prevention of Sexual Harassment Training for New Managers/Promotions
Have you recently hired new managers or supervisors and/or made recent employee promotions? AB 1825 requires that new managers and supervisors receive “Recognizing and Prevention of Sexual Harassment” training within six months after their hire or promotion.
Berliner Cohen is currently taking sign-ups for a training session to be held at the firm’s San Jose office. We are approaching the ideal class size of 15-20 in order to schedule a date, and want to include your employees. Presented in an interactive format, this program is a valuable learning experience for all managers, supervisors and staff in any size business.

California law (AB1825), which became effective in 2005, mandates that all employers with 50 or more employees provide sexual harassment prevention training for their managers and/or supervisors every two years.
Even if your company has less than 50 employees, experience has shown that this program can be very beneficial for you and your employees. Berliner Cohen’s unique format is designed to provide attendees with the tools and skills to avoid harassment in the workplace and to promote high quality work environments, while complying with the requirements of AB1825. Sexual harassment training is also important for all employers because federal and state laws make effective training part of an employer’s defense should a claim be made against the employer.
2014 is the beginning of the two-year compliance year. Get ahead of the curve and complete your compliance training early. For 10 or more employees, Berliner Cohen’s employment attorneys also offer private training sessions for individual employers at a location of the employer’s choosing. Private training sessions are customized for the individual employer’s policies and practices. In addition, private training sessions can be designed for presentations to an employer’s entire workforce (managers/supervisors and staff) so that all employees benefit from the learning experience.
