Alex Nguyen is experienced in commercial real estate transactions with a focus on acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of real property. She represents clients on a wide range of real estate matters including negotiating purchase and sale contracts and leases, analyzing title conditions and negotiating title insurance coverage, and facilitating and supporting clients’ due diligence. Alex, who has a diverse professional background, with experience in litigation and transactions, both in-house and law firms, joined the Real Estate practice group of Berliner Cohen in 2018.

• Represented various buyers and sellers in complex, multi-million dollars purchase and sale transactions of multi-family residential projects, commercial buildings and shopping centers, from contract negotiations through due diligence through close of escrow
• Represented a public utility company on real estate and business assets purchase and sale transactions, leases, telecom leases, easements, licenses, and other matters.
• Represented an applicant before the planning commission on a contested application for a use permit for the operation of a religious facility within a restricted zone.
• Represented landlords and tenants in negotiating and drafting commercial leases.
• Second chaired a successful jury trial on a fraud and breach of contract case.
