I was born and raised in Merced, California. I attended Golden Valley High School where I graduated valedictorian prior to attending college and law school. I always knew my passion in life was to be an attorney, and thus I adamantly pursued that path. My husband and I have four daughters who have been the center of our lives. I have coached Merced youth soccer for a majority of the past 10 years as well been an active member of Merced women’s adult soccer leagues. In addition, my husband and I have long been athletes and avid runners; we participate in a multitude of fundraising runs to raise awareness for cancer, learning disorders and several other worthy causes. I have volunteered several years in conducting the MERCO credit union run which supports scholarships for youth wanting to attend the University of California, Merced. My most recent endeavor is the establishment and maintenance of a scholarship fund in the memory of our oldest daughter, Riley Hanson. The fund will be used to support graduating local seniors who display the kind, intelligent, honest, and greatly humble nature that our daughter embodied.
