Caitlin Capriotti is an associate attorney in Berliner Cohen’s Labor and Employment Group in San Jose. Ms. Capriotti’s employment practice includes representing employers in Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) cases, class actions, and individual disputes involving a wide range of employment issues, including but not limited to, wage-and-hour claims, discrimination, retaliation and harassment, reasonable accommodations, and wrongful termination. Ms. Capriotti also proactively serves employers by providing advice and counsel, and drafting employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, arbitration agreements, and company policies.

During law school, Ms. Capriotti obtained a temporary license to practice law in Illinois and gained litigation experience representing indigent clients with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services in their Chancery Division. Her work centered around helping clients with housing issues, including eviction defense, applying for and keeping Section 8 housing vouchers, and navigating mortgage and rental assistance programs created during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as the Secretary of the Student Bar Association.

  • Prior to law school, Ms. Capriotti spent one year as an 8th grade science teacher in Tucson, Arizona.
