Areas of Focus:

Mr. Ramakrishnan represents public agencies and private clients, including both nonprofit and for-profit developers.  His practice focuses on land use and the California Environmental Quality Act, but he also advises public agencies on public contracting and municipal finance matters.  His special interest is affordable housing law.  Mr. Ramakrishnan enjoys finding creative solutions to problems, he prides himself on being genuine and down to earth, and he strives above all to provide service that is loyal, competent, and responsive.


  • In his free time, Erik enjoys riding his bike and hiking, and he and his husband Sreejith are fans of Malayalam cinema.  Currently, Erik is learning to play the Carnatic flute, and is trying to brush up his French language skills.  Prior to going to law school, Erik was a public-school teacher for over five years.
