Marisa Martinson is an attorney in Berliner Cohen’s Estate Planning Group. Marisa counsels individuals and families on estate planning, estate administration, probate, and tax matters. Marisa assists individuals and families with all levels of wealth and types of assets. She has assisted in the administration of multiple estates valued over $50 Million comprised of complex assets, residential and commercial real property, and entity ownership. Marisa helps families build and preserve generational wealth by guiding them through the process of forming partnerships, LLCs, and private foundations, as well as strategic tax planning surrounding significant liquidity events in their personal and professional lives.

Personal

• Ms. Martinson is a Bay Area native, graduate of the Woodside Priory School, and former Palo Alto Stanford Aquatic Swim Team Member.
• Ms. Martinson spent several years with Teach for America in Charlotte, North Carolina teaching high school science and coaching high school swimming
• Interests include: swimming, hot yoga, hiking, traveling with my fiancé, visiting museums, reading, and advocacy for education equity.
