Jeanette is an associate attorney in Berliner Cohen’s Estate Planning Group. Jeanette counsels individuals and families with all levels of wealth and types of assets. Additionally, she provides estate administration and probate services. As a fluent Spanish-speaking attorney, she enjoys serving her Spanish-speaking clients in estate planning and probate matters.
Jeanette began her legal career as a paralegal in estate planning and probate in 2014. Motivated by the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients, Jeanette decided to go to law school. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2022.
During law school, Jeanette interned at the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, volunteered as a clinical student for the Northern California Innocence Project, and was one of the founding board members for the First-Generation Law Student Association.
Jeanette began her career as a Deputy District Attorney at the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained court and trial experience. She then returned to private practice to continue her work in estate planning and probate. Jeanette regularly presents to parent support groups (in English and Spanish) on conservatorship and estate planning/special needs trusts.
