Stuart Spencer’s law practice includes estate planning, trust and probate administration, business planning and transactions, real property, and public agency law. He enjoys developing the meaningful client relationships that come through advising families, individuals and business owners in some of the most impactful decisions of their lives.
Before his career in law, Stuart advised many of Silicon Valley's prominent companies as a Certified Internal Auditor at the accounting firm Arthur Andersen. Later work in telecom and as an internal auditor at Oppenheimer Funds gave him experience in service-oriented business operations as well. This background in business has deeply influenced his perspective on advising his clients—his primary focus is to protect them from legal risk through thoughtful planning.
Stuart serves a wide variety of families and individuals in his estate planning practice, drafting revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and other planning tools. He works to ensure that his estate plans help families protect not only their wealth, but their relationships with each other.
With diverse experience in advising and operating business, Sturat Spencer also counsels business owners and managers and assists in business planning, including the formation and other aspects of the life cycle of limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships.
