Berliner Cohen is pleased to announce that Mark Makiewicz, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Transactions Group, has been elected Managing Partner of the firm for a three-year term effective as of January 1, 2014.
Mr. Makiewicz succeeds Jerry Reiton, a partner specializing in corporate and tax matters. Mr. Reiton held the managing partner position from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2013.

For over 20 years, Mark has represented a variety of clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, disposition and leasing. He represents Fortune 500 and other corporate clients in connection with their national leasing programs and campus development projects, including site redevelopment and reuse. Additionally, he counsels local and regional real property owners in connection with the acquisition, disposition and leasing of their real estate portfolios.
