2011 is a compliance year for employers with 50 or more employees to provide sexual harassment prevention training for managers and/or supervisors. Even if your company has less than 50 employees, experience has shown that this program can be very beneficial for you and your employees.

Background
California law (AB1825), which became effective in 2005, mandates that all employers with 50 or more employees provide sexual harassment prevention training for their managers and/or supervisors every two years. It also requires that new managers and supervisors receive the same training within six months after their hire or promotion.
Berliner Cohen’s interactive training is designed to provide attendees with the tools and skills to avoid harassment in the workplace and to promote high quality work environments while complying with the requirements of AB1825. Training is also important for all employers because federal and state laws make effective training part of an employer's defense should a claim be made against the employer – whatever the size of the company.
Private Training
For 10 or more employees, Berliner Cohen’s employment attorneys also offer private training sessions for individual employers at a location of the employer’s choosing. Private training sessions are customized for the individual employer’s policies and practices. In addition, private training sessions can be designed for presentation to an employer’s entire workforce (managers/supervisors and staff) so that all employees benefit from the learning experience.
