Berliner Cohen’s upcoming seminar on "Managing Performance: Policy Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them" will examine several problem areas that employers face in managing employee performance and will feature a mock trial cross-examination of a human resources manager. The complimentary breakfast programs will take place in two locations: San Jose on September 15 and Merced on September 23.
Kara Arguello, Berliner Cohen attorney, will discuss the following topics:

Ms. Arguello represents individuals and businesses in employment and general litigation, including wrongful termination, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and discrimination. She has experience litigating and representing employers before the Labor Commissioner on issues including unpaid overtime and vacation. She advises and counsels on employee classification, leaves of absence, wage and hour law, and reduction in force.
